Not everyone has experienced the trauma of a natural or man-made disaster in their life and it takes courage and strength to lift yourself up when all else seems hopeless. Knowing what to do and when to do it can help your confidence and those not immediately coping.
The Emergency Response booklet can help resolve many of the issues people encounter during this time. It is a guide, informing you of the stages of response, who will and won't be immediately available to help, what things you can do to prepare yourself and your loved ones before disaster strikes, a checklist of things to consider, priorities, leadership and management during this time.
The booklet talks about Governance, Legislation, and Compliance. All of which will be the least of your worries at this time. But, it's good to know what help is available to you and the resources that will be needed as you and those around you plan for your futures.
Study it, action those things that you can NOW and keep a copy of the booklet in your "Go Bag".
